ABOUT Ettore - Proprietor of Dock Street
As a kid, Ettore played jazz guitar; never really mastering it. The highlights of his teen years were taking lessons from Vinnie Zummo and playing in the New Dorp High School Dance Band for Nino Morreale. After high school, he gave up the guitar for other interests.
At 36, after a difficult relationship breakup, he picked up the acoustic guitar and wrote the songs on the Life Dot Com CD. John Jarrett, a great vocalist and friend, heard it and said, "Let's go to the studio." Ettore and John assembled an all star cast to accompany Ettore on the CD and "Voila!"

DOCK STREET - OUR STORY
Dock Street Bar & Grill is located at 691 Bay Street on Dock Street in Stapleton, Staten Island, NYC. It is in the basement of the Historical Edgewater Hall which was built in 1876 as the original Staten Island Savings Bank. Its highlights include the original brick arches and bank vault, exposed stone foundation, and the 27 foot antique bar from the 1850s. This 1,500 square foot basement venue creates an atmosphere for great Rock N' Roll.
It all started in 1980 when John Gray and Anthony Deorato purchased Edgewater Hall to turn it into an antique center. They rented the basement to Jerry and Barbara Underhill who turned it into the food and beverage establishment that it is today. The owners after the Underhills, and before Ettore, were Lou Rizzo and Patti Pirello. Lou Rizzo featured such greats as jefferson Airplane, Jorma Kaukonen from Hot Tuna, Little John & The Subdues. Patti chose the R&B and Blues sounds. She featured such greats as Ray Shinnery and Mark Pender. Today, Dock Street is a club that features Hardcore, Metal, Punk, and SKA.
Out of town bands are welcome to play at Dock Street. Each night we will feature one off Staten Island band with three to five local bands. The bands will be chosen by one of our promoters in the order they register and the genre of music played. Bands are paid by the number of people they bring with them. 16 to enter, 21 to drink. Teens under 16 are welcomed with a parent.
